Seaside Special Weekend
23rd - 25th August 2008
Take in the extravaganza that is Cromer's 'Seaside Special'

Cromer Pier and the Pavillion Theatre at the heart of entertainment in North Norfolk hosts one of the last 'End-of-Pier-Shows' in England. Cromer's 'Seaside Special' is the great survivor. Other summer shows may have come and gone but this one lives on - and more than that, it goes from strength to strength.
'Seaside Special' has bucked all the trends and hung on to become cult, promising a show that is fast, funny, full of music and looks fantastic. This is top quality entertainment with something for everyone, whether your taste in music is Abba, show tunes or big band swing numbers.

Enjoy a visit to the beautiful Sandringham House & Gardens
Sandringham is a friendly place to visit, a beautiful house, acres of gardens and a museum which houses collections of Royal vehicles, rare ceramics, photographs and memorabilia. As well as Sandringham House, there is a parish church of St Mary Magdalene, Restaurant, Tea Rooms, Gift Shop and Plant Centre.
Although a Royal residence for only 150 years, Sandringham abounds in history. It has seen the deaths of two monarchs, suffered it's share of wartime tragedy, and been the venue for the first ever Christmas broadcast.
The story began in 1862, Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria, was looking for a country home for Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, before his 20th birthday as a retreat for his young son away from the city. Before a decision was made the Prince Consort died suddenly of Typhiod. It was left to his eldest son to conclude the house hunt, and on 3rd February 1862 he had decided by the end of the day to buy the house and paid £220,000 for the house and furnishings.
